PROJECT OVERVIEW
This Design-Build project involved the mechanical and electrical rehabilitation of an existing, occupied distribution facility for the US Postal Service. Major mechanical components included: cooling towers; piping; water treatment; gas-fired radiant heaters; hydronic heat exchangers; modular indoor air handling units; rooftop air conditioning units; CRAC units; unit heaters; heat tracing; power ventilators; air terminal units; gas distribution upgrades; intake and relief ventilators; testing and balancing; and commissioning. There was an extensive insulated duct work system which had to be removed and replaced, throughout the building. There was also a sophisticated Building Automation System (BAS), including operator interfaces, field panels, communication devices, software and programming.
